The next week I will be in Maui which I am super stoked about. Though it might seem like an odd time for a trip to the islands it is usually pretty brisk in June in Vancouver so it will be a nice change to have those hot summer days and nights.

Walking down the beach last weekend I just happened to look down before stepping on this amazing starfish. When I thought about it I had never seen one that wasn't broken etc. Its nice when things can pop up and surprise you at any moment.

It feels so good to be be creative again. This burst of creative energy has had me taking more photos and even thinking of getting back into painting! In the coming weeks Im going to be posting some random photos from over the last couple of months which will hopefully make up for me being AWOL.

When looking at the shadows of these signs posts they almost look like inukshuks which is quite fitting because traditionally inukshuks were used as points of reference. 

This sign post forest originated in 1942 when a home sick US ARMY G.I erected a sign that pointed the way to his hometown. Over the years 75,000 signs have been posted by weary travellers on the Alaskan Highway.
